My first book

Journal Entry: Wed May 14, 2008, 1:11 PM
Yep, I'm writing a book. The idea for the magic flower story came to me when I was taking a drawing course at City College of San Francisco. My drawing instructor Diane Olivier wanted us to get an old book from a used bookstore and put artwork inside of it. I did artwork and wrote stories in mine and you guessed it one was about a magic flower. The story was 7 or 8 pages long and only had a small number of supporting characters. I used the story two more times for art projects while going to the Joe Kubert School. The story is now 84 pages long with supporting characters, good guys and bad guys. I've discovered that writing is a very intense process with lots of revising involved. But just the fact that I can work out solutions to where characters will go and what characters will do just proves to me that this is one of those things that my brain was wired for and with God as my witness I'm not stopping until I have a book that I can be proud of.

Pond? Oh right because of water. Keep feeding me info like that. If I'm ever at a high class event, I can say things like, "OH! I love the pond handbag you're wearing and sound smart and a little gay.

Give the cold time to run its course and stick to your guns. Garlic is good for boosting the immune system too. Eat a clove of garlic from time to time, but I warn you have some water nearby. Garlic cloves are spicy. If you still feel shitty, go to the hospital. You might have the flu.

SaintAsh,
I'm also working a lot, writing, reading and drawing. Looking for a part time job too.
~ronnybaby:iconronnybaby: Feb 11, 2008, 2:25:44 PM
That would be very cool SaintAsh. Drink water. Take a multivitamin. Eat your favorite fruits and vegetables. Get extra Sleep. That ought to give your cold a nice kick in the balls.

Not really. I was hoping for a story with guys who were really spiders, but you know hot spider guys. But who were no relation to Peter Parker.

What's Anansi's Boys about? I assume it's got something to do with kids who are spiders.
